Commissioned by the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra. A programmatic
piece that musically describes the freedoms of religion, speech
and press. The tape contains actual news room sounds. Fragments
of hymn tunes make up part one, while a written out aleatoric
sounding section is used in part two. Part three uses a rhythmic
fugue based on the teletype machine and a humorous
"Ivesiam" coda concludes the piece. Duration: 7:00
